O QUE SIGNIFICA SER MEMBRO DA SOCIEDADE ANTROPOSÓFICA

O primeiro item dos Princípios da Sociedade Antroposófica é o seguinte: "A Sociedade Antroposófica deve ser uma associação de pessoas que desejam cultivar a vida da alma no indivíduo e na sociedade na base de um verdadeiro conhecimento do mundo espiritual."
The first section of the Principles of the Anthroposophical Society is the following: "The Anthroposophical Society should be an association of people who wish to nurture the soul life in the individual and in society based upon a true knowledge of the spiritual world."
A filiação à Sociedade Antroposófica é absolutamente livre a qualquer pessoa, independente de suas convicções filosóficas, científicas, religiosas, políticas ou artísticas. A filiação à Sociedade dá direito a assitir a eventos organizados exclusivamente para membros, como palestras e congressos especiais. Em geral, uma pessoa torna-se membro se ela sente a necessidade de buscar um conhecimento consciente do mundo espiritual que preserve sua total liberdade, individualidade e consciência, que seja adequado à atual constituição humana física, anímica e espiritual e também à cultura moderna, e eventualmente deseja atuar no mundo a partir de um tal conhecimento, em conjunto com outras pessoas de mesmos interesses. A Sociedade não admite dentro dela nenhum sectarismo e considera a política como sendo alheia às suas finalidades. A filiação à Sociedade Antroposófica não exige a adoção de nenhum dogma ou atitude pessoal específicos. Além disso, não há nenhuma obrigação de permanecer como membro.
Membership to the Anthroposophical Society is absolutely open to any person, independently of his or her philosophical, scientific, religious, political or artistic convictions. Membership gives the right of attending events, such as special lectures and conferences, organized exclusively to members. In general, a person becomes a member if he or she feels the need for searching a conscious knowledge of the spiritual world, preserving his or her full freedom, individuality and consciousness, together with other people who have the same interests. This knowledge should be adequate to the present physical, soul and spiritual human constitution as well as to modern culture. This person may eventually feel the urge to act in the world according to that knowledge. The Society does not admit in it any sectarianism and considers political activities as being extraneous to its purposes. Membership does not require the adoption of any specific dogma or attitude. Moreover, there is no obligation of keeping the membership.
